Dear Kay,

Your excitement at having a shower sounds just like Wendy when she returned from Nepal.  Showering was one of the things she missed the most, although the guest house which is home to the Loving Arms Mission orphans is very luxurious by Nepali standards, and has floors, as well as water on tap in the house (safe to drink, if you boil it first).  They even have a sort of an indoor bathroom, which is very unusual.

We should all learn to pay more attention to the things we take for granted, and appreciate them more.   Mom and I had a delightful time visiting you.   

Thanks for the letter (I shared it with Mom) and for the daily helpings you give of your insights, humor and wisdom.
